Minnesota State Arts Board Creative Individuals FY24
Amy Wilderson is a fiscal year 2024 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
Amy Wilderson will engage Minnesotans, especially those age 55+, in demos and discussions as they experience her creating a new body of work, At Peace and On Fire, that evolves her concepts from wirework jewelry art into metalsmithing installations.
CERF+ offers Get Ready Grants, providing craft artists with grants up to $1,000 for activities to safeguard their studios, protect their practices, and prepare for emergencies. Priority is given to applicants who have been underrepresented in the craft community, including BIPOC and folk/traditional artists.
Amy used her CERF+ grant to safeguard her studio and visitors by increasing her insurance coverage to allow visitors during artist talks and demonstrations. She also purchased an inventory system designed for jewelry artists, and an external hard drive to protect her photos.
